The Angouleme International Comic and Cartoon Festival is the largest comics festival in Europe and the second biggest in the world after the Committee. Angouleme is surrounded by large boulevards which stand above the original 2km of ramparts that protected the town.
Every September Angouleme transforms the ramparts into “The Circuit des Remparts” - Angouleme’s Classic Car Race.
