I'm ready to release a new version 6.0.1.0 using the Major Upgrade functionality in Wi X.I'm keeping the Upgrade Code the same in the Product element and I change the Version from 6.0.0.0 to 6.0.1.0 On a machine with 6.0.0.0 installed, I run the new installer. However, the problem itself occurs prior to this, in that very early on the installer decided not to update that component and it doesn't change its mind even though we are removing remove the existing product.Notice that I do have the Remove Existing Products action coming after Install Initialize: Not sure of the history for why that code is in my wxs file. This e-mail and any attachments thereto may be subject to the terms of any agreements between Invensys (and/or its subsidiaries and affiliates) and the recipient (and/or its subsidiaries and affiliates). The component in question is a piece of a driver installed using the Difx App Extension, and its absence wreaks havoc on the attempt to install the driver, failing the major update.

However, even if I move Remove Existing Products to the end, I'll still have a problem with my installer not updating the component that I wanted to totally replace.
