Chrome not updating java
You can only use it with the latest version of Chrome.1.
To manually update to the latest version click the Options About Google Chrome.2.
There you’ll see the current version you’re running and that an update is available. If you like to stay on tops of things and make sure your software is up-to-date as soon as possible.
Click Relaunch, and you’ll be running the latest version in no time. A quick shortcut to the above process is to just type: chrome://chrome/ into the URL address bar.2. This is a great way to make sure you have the latest security patches and new features for Chrome.
The process is more complicated than it should be, but don’t worry: we’re here to walk you through it.
This morning I tried downloading and installing the most recent version (JRE 1.5); I keep getting error messages telling me the \u0022directory is locked\u0022 and installation cannot continue. I\u0027ve even CHANGED the directory destination in a manual installation, and still get the error message. I uninstalled Jave umpteen times, shut down my browsers AND my Zone Alarm and continue to get the \u0022Directory is Locked. The UNinstallation process didn't work in the installer package, and for some reason, using the REMOVE PROGRAMS feature in control panel wasn't uninstalling the folder. Hello Everyone, Is anyone having issues with Chrome stating the the Java plugin is not supported after updating to the new update which was released yesterday. There's an override available in this version of Chrome, and they're pulling support entirely in September.https:// Google finally went and did it..pushed an update that will make people not update Chrome. Oh yeah, keeping IE at a certain version/patch level because of plugin requirements. I have a client that needs to run Java 6u30 for a specific medical site to work properly do to them not updating the site.
